A few days late, but always on time!

Well, this is my 1st post of many i am sure of it. i want to say that my name is josh, my lil girl name is yuri. she was born on December 27, 2009 @ 11:34am. My lil girl is precious, as would any newborn baby be to a father. shes my lil angle and i cant tell her i love her enough!

when we 1st found out about her, she was suppose to be due on the 19th of December. but that did NOT happen. my child was already making her own choices in life i would think. and soon find out its the truth! no one can tell you how it will be until you see it 1st hand. no web site, no book, no person. its something that you just find out on your own. a lil person, who you never laid a eye on, will 500% change your life!

but, in all due time, she came. she did finally make it and it was something we all were so happy about! she was 8lbs 4.6oz and 21.75" long. in my family, we always have big babies, so it wasnt new to me. but alot of people it was. she is here, thats all i could think of. 5 toes, 5 fingers, 2 eyes, a mouth, nose, lips tongue, everything your suppose to have she did, so i was more than a happy father just knowing she was a health whole baby girl. cant ask for nothing more!

well, we finally get her, and finally have her brought to the room, she was there with us for 2 days out of the 4 day stay we were to spend at the hospital. she end up having jaundice. that had us worried for a great deal of the time since she had to stay under the lights. let me make note, them lights, are something that any new parent is afraid of. i searched over the net for things to educate my self on them damn lights, but its nothing! you really find that the Internet is not as 'all knowing' all we may think.
so i just had to go at it alone. with my wife, and asking as many questions as i could. for 3 days my baby stayed in them lights. i swore it was cooking her skin more than helping. and to make matters worse, they kept some baby shades over her eyes all the time. so i know she had to be confused with light and dark. or a parent would think. or i just thought for that part.

she came from out of it finally, and at about 10pm new years eve, we were sent home from the dreaded hospital. i was never more happy to walk into the house and feel the bed i been missing for days! see, what you dont know as a daddy, epically a 1st time daddy, is you have to sleep on a makeshift bed. its really a couch that folds into a bed. and if you dont have a chair to spare, your going to be cramped up in that thing. it sucks. its nice to have, but looking at my wife on that nice adjustable bed, and me on this thing, it just sucked.

so we got her home. we brought in the new year together and then we all passed out. it was just a long day. a long long long long day. waiting for test results that took a 6 hour turn around, just can really drain you of all your energy period. but thank God my baby is home. and its been a ride every since!
